Populations:

Individuals 16+, Couples, and Families

My Approach:

Relationships—with ourselves and with others—can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you’re feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of how to move forward, you're not alone. Whether you're navigating personal concerns, facing challenges in your relationships, or managing both, this space offers support for healing, growth, and finding your way forward with greater clarity and connection. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them understand and transform the relationships that shape their lives—whether with themselves, their loved ones, or with the larger systems they are a part of.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a systemic perspective, recognizing the impact of societal and historical contexts on mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. While my work often integrates components of mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and parts-work, I operate from a person-centered lens and aim to meet each client where they are at individually.

Education:

I received my bachelor’s of science in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, and later acquired my master’s of arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Additionally, I completed my 220-hour teacher training at Yess Yoga and am a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance.

Individual Therapist for Adults & Adolescents

Katie Engh, MA, LPCC, DBTC

(she/her/hers)

My Approach:

Humans are resilient, but we are not wired to do life alone. There may be times that you need more support, unbiased feedback, or just a safe space to be your genuine self. Starting out with a new therapist or beginning therapy for the first time can feel scary, maybe even downright terrifying. I offer a laid-back place to show up as you are without judgement, talk about the hard stuff that we inevitably experience through life, and maybe have a laugh or two in the process.

I approach therapy as a collaboration. We are a team. You set the destination you want to get to, and I’m here to help you navigate. Described by a client before as “compassionately direct”, I strive to be a transparent supporter for you on your journey.

Sessions are structured in a way that you have a space to unload your stressors and explore your options. I want you to leave our sessions with a tangible step that you can take towards your personal goals. I integrate a variety of therapy approaches and techniques based on each client’s needs including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Experience & Education

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of MN. In addition to my license, I am also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBTC).

I obtained my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Saint Thomas University in 2015. My practicum and supervision hours were completed doing DBT intensive outpatient group programming with adults and adolescents, as well as individual therapy.

I work with teens and adults addressing a variety of experiences including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidality and self-harm, relationship challenges, domestic violence survivors, and life transitions.

Marriage & Family Therapist

Karen Leta Gillespie, MA, LMFT, ATR

(she/her/hers)

My Approach:

I offer a gentle, holistic space for those seeking rest, healing, and renewal—especially while navigating menopause, chronic illness, pelvic pain, or trauma. Drawing from Buddhist psychology, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, breathwork, Art Therapy, Reiki, and Healing Touch, I support deep mind-body restoration. I specialize in working with individuals navigating oncology, diabetes, menopause, life transitions, grief, and trauma to relax and let go of anxiety and improve their mood. My care is inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming for LGBTQ+ individuals and people of color. You deserve space to breathe, release, and return to yourself. What would living a life with less stress and grounded in your values feel like?

If you're feeling ready to feel better & grow—and even just a little curious about how Buddhist psychology, somatic work, and a sense of humor can support that journey—you’re in the right place. I work best with people who are motivated, reflective, and value real, honest connection. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just be willing to show up.

Stephanie Kalliman, MA, LMFT

(she/her/hers)

My Story:

The most important thing to know about me is that I am just real! I am a driven dreamer and I own the good, bad, and in-between that comes with that. I have a naturally hopeful view of the world and genuinely believe in people. I show up for others and recognize the challenges of being a human in this very confusing and beautiful world we all live in. I’m also not afraid to laugh and find it to be one of the most necessary and healing aspects of life. I am a human first and a therapist second, which means I will meet you where you are at and I will not judge you for the things you might be judging yourself for.

My journey to finding my passion in helping others, has not been linear and it has certainly not always been easy. It took me working in a career that allowed me to put on stunning events, meet successful people, and looked great on paper to know that my soul was not fulfilled. I needed to do more for others and I’m so glad I listened to what my internal compass was telling me. As hard as it was to leave in the middle of a successful career, the feeling of being a witness to the growth of those I have the privilege of working with is the greatest honor I have known. Having this experience has taught me so much about following my heart and honoring my needs, which is a crucial practice I work with my clients to help navigate.

Experience & Education:

I have diverse experience working with multiple populations from a systems perspective. I have provided therapeutic services to adults (individuals, couples, and families), adolescents, and children over the age of 10. It has been my honor to help individuals and families with the following mental health and systemic concerns: educational disabilities and transitional needs, eating disorders, couples in distress, depression, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, chronic illness and many more all from a trauma-informed lens. I am a certified Anchored Relational Therapist (formerly AIR Network) which is particularly helpful for those with dissociative abilities and complex trauma. I have a passion for helping build stronger connections in your relationships particularly when faced with chronic illness, trauma, and other medical and mental health conditions which effect not just one person in a family, but the entire system. Our relationships and connections make life worth living and it starts with a healthy and positive relationship with ourselves.

I received my undergraduate degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis in radio, television, and film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master’s degree from Adler Graduate School in Minnesota. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Minnesota.

Services I provide:

(she/her/hers)

My Approach:

Is your past creeping into your present? Are your worries regarding the future stealing you away from the here and now? Sessions with me often involve art making to help ground you into the present moment and create awareness around personal patterns and mistaken beliefs. Art and other creative tools will help to empower you to make the necessary changes to live a full, expansive life. You do not need any experience in art making to work in this way; we are making marks, not masterpieces. I believe everyone has the capacity to be creative. Don't agree? I'll gently guide you into your creative space and I think you'll be surprised! I believe art is a useful tool for self reflection that can spark transformation. It is YOU who brings the truth to your art and with my training in art therapy, which is rooted in metaphor & visual understandings, I will help guide you to those insights. As a licensed therapist, I bring the practical skills and training of someone who can support you through challenging times. As an art therapist, I believe fantastical things exist among us and that play, art, and metaphor are the antidote to the shit feelings you are experiencing (yes, that's the professional phrasing)

Experience & Education

I received my undergraduate degree at Concordia College-Moorhead where I received a double major in Studio Art and French and a minor in Psychology. After my undergrad, I lived in France where I taught English at multiple elementary schools. When I returned, I worked in the school system as a special education paraprofessional while attending graduate school. I received my Master’s degree in 2016 from Adler Graduate School. During graduate school, I completed internships at multiple partial hospitalization programs for children and adolescents as well as in outpatient mental health working with adults and families. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist since 2019. I am also a board approved supervisor through the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

About Me

When working with me, you can expect a curious, attentive listener with a sassy, playful personality. As a child, I was often made fun of for asking “too many questions” which I believe led me to a career as a therapist. I love being curious and learning more about my clients’ experiences to best help them shift and grow. In my freetime, you can often find me outside in nature beauty hunting, walking my silly rescue dog, pulling tarot cards, or beating my partner in cribbage.

Registered Dietitian

Jenni Burg, MS, RD, LD

(she/her/hers)

About Me:

Hi! I’m Jenni – an outside-lover, bookworm, recovering perfectionist and registered dietitian. I live with my husband and golden retriever in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I am a foodie, kitchen enthusiast and lover-of-all-things biology. Combining those things led me to pursue an education in nutrition and dietetics. My own experiences with diet culture and disordered eating (read more about my story here) influenced my first years as a dietitian working with those in recovery from eating disorders and disordered eating. As I’ve progressed in my career my passion remains around supporting individuals in healing their relationship with food but also has expanded to include family nutrition – learning how to feed your family, no matter the size, in a way that is enjoyable, affordable, and in line with your values and health goals. I truly love showing individuals that enjoying your favorite foods, eating in a way that supports health goals and not blowing your budget or spending all your time in the kitchen, really is possible!

My Approach:

I believe nutrition is incredibly nuanced and never a one-size-fits-all. I am so grateful I found the paradigms of Health at Every Size and intuitive eating and use the tenants of each to inform and guide my practice, alongside evidence-based nutrition.  Through counseling, coaching, education, and exposure, I support individuals in breaking free from diet culture and rigid food rules and unhelpful beliefs and unrealistic expectations, helping you to turn inwards towards body cues and intuition and apply evidence-based science. I support individuals in identifying routines and structure, time management skills, and more to ensure nutrition changes are attainable and sustainable.

Education and Experience:

I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and hold a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Life Sciences Communication. I went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences-Dietetics and an Academy-accredited Dietetic Internship through a coordinated program at Illinois State University. My experience lies in outpatient eating disorder care and private-practice nutritional counseling along with nutrition-focused freelance writing.

Services:

I provide therapeutic nutritional counseling, grocery store tours, and dining out experiential sessions via Jenni Wolf Nutrition, LLC. Please contact me at hello@jenniwolf.com or 651-504-2894 or fill out my contact form to learn more about sessions and scheduling.

Keri Karst, RD

Keri Karst, RD

she/her/hers

Hi there! I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2008 and have spent most of my career helping people heal their relationship with food and body as an outpatient nutrition therapist. Early in my career, I discovered Intuitive Eating (IE) and Health At Every Size (HAES) and have been practicing within a weight neutral approach ever since. This means I believe it’s essential to look at the whole person, mind and body, when discussing health and wellness and focus on change from a behavioral perspective versus the number on the scale. I also believe that all bodies come in different shapes, sizes, colors, genders, and that all bodies are welcomed in this world! In 2024, I became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals who have struggled with eating disorders and disordered eating, diabetes, bariatric surgery, to name a few, but seem to have found my niche working with binge eating disorders and neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism). I do my best to offer trauma informed and gender affirming care and continue to grow and learn on a variety of topics each and every day. I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey!

Approach to care

I consider myself a non diet dietitian. My approach is patient-centered and weight inclusive. While I might be considered the nutrition expert, you are the expert of you. Together, we can explore your nutrition challenges and identify areas for growth. I do my best to be supportive, empathetic and compassionate, curious, nonjudgmental, and empowering, so you can meet your nutrition goals and live your best life.

Education and Certifications

I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2005 with a physical education degree and in 2007 with a dietetic degree. I attended my dietetic internship at Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI in 2008. I became a certified intuitive eating counselor in 2024.

About me

I’m a mother of 3, a partner, daughter and sister and we are a neurodivergent family, so I can relate on a personal level to the challenges that come alongside this. Outside of my work, I enjoy walks, biking, slow pitch softball, bowling, camping, and going to concerts or festivals throughout the year. I also enjoy home improvement projects and woodworking. When I’m needing more rest, I enjoy playing cards or games with my family and friends, making puzzles, crocheting, listening to audiobooks or podcasts, or watching rom-com movies. I enjoy seasonal cooking and baking when time and energy allow or eating out and supporting local restaurants when time and energy does not!

What to expect

The first session I like to learn more about your experiences in life that has brought you to this point. We will discuss your relationship with food and your body and any events that have shaped these views. We might review any dieting history, medical history and any food preferences or limitations that you have, to name a few. We will discuss your nutrition goals and how best to support them. Most people benefit from meeting weekly or biweekly to start. Treatment length varies with each client. I’ve worked with some for a handful of months up to a handful of years! The initial assessment is scheduled for 90 minutes and follow up sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes.

Email me at Kerikarstrd@gmail.com for more information or to schedule a session!

Usui Reiki Master, RN, Holistic Health Practitioner, HealthRhythms Facilitator, Vibrational/Sound Healer

Sherry L. Strand

(she/her/hers)

My Story:

Sherry Strand, RN, is a rare integration of ancient wisdom and modern science. She is the founder of Create Wholeness, offering wellness for the mind, emotions, spirit, heart & soul. With over 35 years of experience in health care, she holds a certificate in Holistic Health Studies from St. Catherine University and is a certified Usui Reiki Master. Her experience using Reiki and Healing Touch, and over 25 years performing and playing percussion, create a unique blend of vibro-acoustic energy work.

She is a certified HealthRhythms Facilitator and offers individual and group work for people and animals utilizing a blend of her own embodied practices based on foundational studies of QiGong, Tai Chi and integrative sound healing. She recently completed a study in the Amazon with a last of lineage Peruvian shaman, learning more about indigenous healing tools.

Services I provide:

Biofield Therapy - Energy Medicine

Scientifically speaking, “Biofield Therapies are noninvasive therapies in which the practitioner explicitly works with a client's biofield (interacting fields of energy and information that surround living systems) to stimulate healing responses in patients,” according to the National Institutes of Health.  They also consider the biofield to "play a significant role in information transfer processes that contribute to an individual's state of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.”

I blend a combination of energy medicines (Reiki, Healing Touch, Sound/Vibrational Healing) together based on individual needs, creating a unique experience with each visit.

I reserve 2 hours for each individual session to allow an customized session based on discussion, requests  and needs.  Work may be completed in less than 2 hours, but I make sure to allow enough time for what you need.

For appointments with animals, I reserve 30-45 minutes.  Animals generally take less time than people as they are usually very intuitive and open.

Please contact me at (651) 504-2252 or Sherry@CreateWholeness.com to schedule your first session.
